Field Report, September

Seabrook, SC

In the last field report, we showed you the Riverfront Dogtrot in the early stages of it’s renovation. The Powell Brothers have made significant process with construction. The windows are installed, roof is almost complete, rough-ins are complete, & the electrical walk through was last month. Soon, insulation and drywall will be installed, tile and flooring can start going in, the cabinets will be made and installed, interior trim and painting will begin.

framing progress, addition, Seabrook Sc

Bluffton

The framing on the Bluffton house is is far enough along that the rough-ins will begin soon. Jane and Tom will meet the owners, contractor, and sub-contractors on-site this week for the electrical walk-through. This is the time to finalize locations of light fixtures, switches and outlets. Framing will continue, as well as work on the masonry fireplace and chimney.

St Helena Island

The “great porch” project on St. Helena’s is quite different from many of our other projects. Personally, I love the eccentricity! This is a renovation/addition that started as a porch addition. The scope has expanded to include the butterfly roof addition on the front and the big concrete planters. The original house is the part with the green siding in the photos.

The owner brought these sheep to put in the giant planters. How cute!
