Before & After: Davis Pond

Before…

After…the front exterior of the house and landscaping is fresh and renewed.

Before...

After…the foyer now offers a clean, contemporary first impression. The aesthetic is greatly improved with a new steel and glass front door, losing the orange wood and replacing the handrail and treads.

Before...

After…black interior doors and windows offer a sleek look and match the exterior. The windows were in good shape, so it was far less expensive and more sustainable to improve rather than replace.

Before...

After…enclosing the second story porch made space for the new primary suite, with windows overlooking the pond. We enlarged the screen porch, a heavily used space here in the Lowcountry. The temperature is often pleasant, but the bugs can be unbearable!

Before...

After…the clean and monochromatic look extends to the kitchen—new cabinets, counters, appliances, and fixtures really freshen things up.

Before...

After…the double-sided fireplace went from lackluster to dramatic. The steel cladding is echoed throughout the home.
